Bland Shire is the Local Government Area (LGA) in the Central West of New South Wales on the Newell and Mid-Western Highways. The council's name honours William Bland. The largest town and council seat is West Wyalong. The region also includes the towns of Wyalong, Barmedman, Tallimba, Ungarie, Weethalle and Mirrool. The Shire's major economic activities are agriculture, mining, transport, tourism and wholesale distribution.
Coolamon Shire is a local government area in New South Wales, Australia in the Riverina region. The Newell Highway and the Burley Griffin Way pass through the north-western part of the Shire. It includes the town of Coolamon and the small towns of Marrar, Ganmain, Matong, Ardlethan, Beckom and Mirrool.
The Cowra Local Government Area is located in the Central West region and is centred on the town of Cowra. In addition to Cowra, it includes the small villages of Billimari, Darbys Falls, Gooloogong, Morongla, Noonbinna, Wattamondara, Woodstock and Wyangala.

Gundagai Shire is a local government area in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia, covering the centres of Gundagai and Cootamundra – the birthplace of Sir Donald Bradman – and their surrounds. Gundagai is a primarily rural Local Government Area. There are a number of villages in the Shire: Coolac, Tumblong, Muttama, Nangus, Stockinbingal, Brawlin and Wallendbeen.
Hilltops Council includes the major towns of Young, Harden and Boorowa and their surrounds. The western and southern parts of the Local Government Area around Young and Harden are located in the Riverina electorate, while areas around Boorowa are in the neighbouring electorate of Hume.
Junee Shire is a local government area in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. It is on the Olympic Way and the Main South railway line. The Shire includes the town of Junee and the small towns of Bethungra, Illabo, Wantabagery, Harefield, Old Junee, Junee Reefs and Dirnaseer.
Lockhart Shire is located immediately south of Wagga Wagga and includes the towns of Lockhart, The Rock, Yerong Creek, Pleasant Hills and Milbrulong.
The northern-most shire in the Riverina, Parkes Shire includes the town of Parkes – home of the world-famous Parkes Elvis Festival each January and the second-largest radio telescope in the southern hemisphere – and the outlying villages of Alectown, Bogan Gate, Peak Hill, Trundle and Tullamore.
Temora Shire is a local government area in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. It is on Burley Griffin Way. It includes the town of Temora and the small towns of Springdale, Sebastapol, Ariah Park, Gidginbung, Narraburra and Wallundry.
City of Wagga Wagga
City of Wagga Wagga is a Local Government Area in New South Wales, Australia, in southern New South Wales. The floral emblem for the city is the Silver Banksia. The Wagga Wagga City Council was formed from the amalgamation of City of Wagga Wagga with Mitchell and Kyeamba Shires in 1981. It includes the suburbs of Ashmont, Bomen, Bourkelands, Boorooma, Cartwrights Hill, East Wagga Wagga, Estella, Forest Hill, Glenfield Park, Gumly Gumly, Kapooka, Kooringal, Lake Albert, Lloyd, Mount Austin, North Wagga Wagga, San Isidore, Tatton, Tolland, Turvey Park, and Wagga Wagga as well as the towns of Tarcutta, Ladysmith, Mangoplah, Uranquinty and Collingullie
Weddin Shire is centred on the town of Grenfell – the birthplace of Henry Lawson – located on the Mid Western Highway. The villages of Caragabal, Greenthorpe and Quandialla are also located within the shire's boundaries.
