McCormack praises Junee Lions

THE remarkable volunteer spirit of Junee Lions Club has been acknowledged by the Federal Member for Riverina, Michael McCormack.
“Junee Lions contribute so much to their community and their fund-raising work is inspirational,” Mr McCormack said.
Mr McCormack, who is also Australia’s Small Business Minister was speaking after the 43rd Changeover Dinner of the Junee Lions Club on Saturday night.
“Junee Lions have a small membership, but a huge heart,” Mr McCormack said.
“The Club donated more than $9,200 from its charitable activities over the last 12 months, most of which went to local groups in need.
“What a fantastic achievement”.
Local builder Steve Gardner hasbeen elected President, succeeding Neil Sheedy and about 40 people attended the annual dinner at the Red Cow Hotel, a gathering which coincided with the centenary of the Lions movement.
