LIBERAL & NATIONALS INVEST $1.5 MILLION TO KICK START PORT MACQUARIE’S FORESHORE PROJECT
A RE-ELECTED Liberal and Nationals Government will invest $1.5 million to Port Macquarie’s Foreshore Project – Town Green West.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development said a Liberal and Nationals Government would partner with the Port Macquarie Hastings Council to deliver the project.
“The Nationals are putting regional communities first – that’s why we are committing $1.5 million to kick-start the Port Macquarie Foreshore Project,” Mr McCormack said.
“Port Macquarie has a strong advocate in Pat Conaghan, he’s committed to ensuring Port Macquarie’s iconic foreshore remains a key feature of the region for locals and tourists alike.”
Nationals’ candidate for Cowper Patrick Conaghan said this was an important next step in the Port Macquarie’s Foreshore upgrade.
“I’m pleased to be part of a party that has a plan for regional NSW and continues to deliver for Port Macquarie,” Mr Conaghan said.
“The Liberals and Nationals Government is delivering and planning for local infrastructure and services that our communities expect and deserve,” Mr Conaghan said.
“I look forward to the Liberals and Nationals in government working with the Port Macquarie community to progress this high priority and important project, and I’ll be fighting to ensure the government continues to invest in these projects for our region.”
The Town Green West Project includes raising of the rock revetment wall and the raising of the main lawn area, redevelopment of the existing playground to a larger footprint with elements including a climbing structure around the existing fig tree, water play elements, as well as other play equipment.
