AUSTRALIAN RAIL TRACK CORPORATION BOARD APPOINTMENTS

THE Federal Government has appointed Rosheen Garnon to the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) Board and has also reappointed three existing Board members; Vincent Graham AM, Chris Barlow and Gillian Brown.

These Board appointments ensure a strong and diverse leadership team continues to oversee the 8,500km ARTC rail network and guide construction of the 1,700km Melbourne to Brisbane Inland Rail – a regional freight railway connecting inland communities with new opportunities.

Ms Garnon brings over 29 years of financial and accounting expertise to the ARTC Board, including as former National Managing Partner for Taxation at KPMG and her global experience in infrastructure, transport and taxation issues will make her a valuable addition to the ARTC Board.

Mr Graham’s reappointment enables the ARTC to continue to utilise his significant industry experience as a Chief Executive across energy and rail infrastructure, including as Managing Director of the National Rail Corporation and CEO of RailCorp NSW.

Mr Barlow’s extensive infrastructure knowledge includes over 30 years of experience in the transport and infrastructure industries which ensures the ARTC Board has a breadth of knowledge to deliver Inland Rail.

As a leading corporate and project financing lawyer, Ms Brown brings 25 years of experience in finance, infrastructure, energy and resources, and debt capital markets transactions, to the ARTC Board.

Shareholder Ministers congratulate all appointees and look forward to continuing to work closely with the ARTC Board to expand and modernise Australia’s rail network.
